Annual General Meeting

The trustees of West Yorkshire Canoe Club (Charitable Incorportated Orgsnisation) would like to invite all members to an annual general meeting of the charity to discuss the previous year and plans for the future.

This is an important event that will review the performance of and determine the direction of the club, the priorities for the coming year, and selecting the committee members and trustees who will run your club for the next year. We would urge as many members as possible to attend the AGM and have your say.

Event being held at the Navigation Inn, on Broad Cut Lane. A buffet food will be provided. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know ASAP and we’ll do our best to cater for you.

We will also provide a teams meeting link to enable participation online.

Please register attendance below.

Please note – your eligability to vote on any matters before the agm will require your membership to be up to date. You can renew your membership if needed at the link below:

May Bank Holiday Paddle on the Calder

Our first paddle at our new location on Broad Cut lane. For those that don’t know at the end of last year we had to very quickly find a new home for the container we had at the junction, Horbury Bridge.

We have managed to secure storage for the container near the Navigation Inn with direct access to the canal. We have had to move kit around so the container could be moved.

Open to club paddlers only, as the amount of equipment is limited at the new location presently.

Important: Parking is extremely limited at the new location. There is some limited parking available close to the container, however it is strongly advised to park on Broad Cut Road (where safe and legal to do so) and walk over the bridge. Parking is restricted at the Navigation Inn for non-patrons. See illustration below

Spring Update

Hi everyone.

Just a quick update, for those that don’t know at the end of last year we had to very quickly find a new home for the container we had at the junction, Horbury Bridge.

We have managed to secure storage for the container near the Navigation Inn with direct access to the canal. We have had to move kit around so the container could be moved. We are in the process of moving and rearranging kit back into the container in its new location.

We are planning to start club sessions back on the 4th May and bookings will open shortly for this.

We are looking to have a Teams call in the coming weeks to plan the year ahead, if anyone would like to join in this discussion please drop us an email so we can add you to the call.
